Tell Me Your Toy Idea
Every toy in my shop began as a drawing, so I figured yours could too. Send me your idea and each month I pick one, build it in 3D and print it for real. Whoever drew it gets their first name, their age and their drawing up on this page.
1Your Drawing
It starts with your imagination and one piece of paper.
23D Model
I rebuild your drawing in 3D on my tablet.
3Real Toy
The printer runs overnight and then it's real.
Submit Your Dream
There's no form yet, just an inbox — send me an email and I read every one myself.
- Your child's first name and age
- The toy idea — what it is, and what it does
- A photo of the drawing, JPG or PNG
- A line saying you're the parent or guardian, happy for the name, age and drawing to be shown here if it's picked
Opens your email app, addressed to hello@ideaprints.co.nz.
Dream of the Month
One drawing a month, modelled and printed for real.

Liam, Age 9
“A narwhal with a sparkly horn”
Liam asked for glitter, and I can't print glitter — so I cut the horn into little facets that catch the light instead.
Before you send one in
- Open to kids aged 4 to 14, anywhere in the world. You never have to buy anything to enter.
- A parent or guardian has to send the email and say they're happy for it to be published. We only ever publish a first name and an age — never a surname, school or address.
- One idea is chosen each month. I can't print them all, but I promise I read every single one.
How it works
Draw it
Any pen, any paper. Stick figures are completely fine — I can work out the rest.
Send it in
Email me a photo along with a first name, an age and what the toy actually does.
I model it
One idea gets picked each month and I build it in 3D on my tablet, the same way I do my own designs.
It gets printed
The finished toy goes on the printer, then straight onto this page for everyone to see.
